Streets of Blame: He used their DNA to disappear. Now the wrong twin must prove he exists.
A city haunted by secrets. A killer rewriting the rules of DNA. A brother forced to question everything he believes.
When a string of brutal murders terrorizes Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square, police are certain they’ve found their man—the quiet twin brother of a respected University of Washington criminology professor. The DNA evidence is irrefutable. The motive makes sense. The case is closed.
Except for one impossible truth: identical twins share the same DNA.
As the investigation unravels, Professor Donnie Lutz is pulled into a nightmare that tests the limits of science, identity, and guilt. Someone out there is using genetic manipulation to frame his twin, and to taunt the very system designed to catch him.
Each new clue blurs the line between the hunter and the hunted, forcing Donnie into the shadows of Pioneer Square where past and present collide. The deeper he digs, the more he realizes the real question isn’t who the killer is…It’s which version of the truth he’s willing to believe.
STREETS OF BLAME is a tense, atmospheric psychological thriller that blends forensic science, moral suspense, and the haunting beauty of Seattle’s underbelly. Perfect for fans of Michael Connelly, Tana French, and Lisa Gardner.
Because sometimes the evidence doesn’t lie, but the people who use it do.

Praise for Streets of Blame: He used their DNA to disappear. Now the wrong twin must prove he exists.
This unfolds almost like a screenplay with the invisible world of homelessness in Seattle becoming its own character. The pacing and brevity of chapters makes this great for a commuter read or diversion in quick doses as time is available. It takes on topics few dare to acknowledge: child trafficking, sexual exploitation, street justice, drug addiction, prostitution, and failures of the justice system. That is quite a lot to tackle for a relatively quick read. The details made it feel very immersive, though some may find occasional scenes have a bit of a gratuitous Hollywood inspired additions, it does fit the raw grittiness and reality of human behavior and motivation. The acceleration to the denouement seemed to race a little, but without totally unraveling the preceding tension.

THE GATOR THREE
The Gator Took Three: The swamp doesn't forget. And it never gives back what it takes.

A gruesome discovery. A digital mystery. A legend that refuses to die.
When human fingers are found inside the stomach of a massive Everglades alligator, the explanation seems obvious. A tragic accident. Another victim claimed by the unforgiving wilderness.
Case closed.
But as investigators Angie Braun and Donnie Lutz begin looking closer, the facts stop making sense.
At the same time, a series of bizarre incidents begins to ripple through a Seminole casino. Slot machines behave unpredictably. Payout systems fail without explanation. Brief blackouts disrupt operations. Technology designed to be reliable suddenly starts acting as though someone—or something, is manipulating it from behind the scenes.
The deeper Braun and Lutz dig, the more they find themselves chasing a mystery that extends far beyond a single death. Their investigation leads them into a world where advanced surveillance, hidden networks, tribal sovereignty, and local folklore collide in unexpected ways.
At the center of it all is a name spoken more as a warning than a person.
Two-Finger Jack.
Some believe he is a criminal mastermind. Others insist he is little more than a myth created by generations of swamp stories. Yet wherever his name appears, confusion follows, systems fail, and people disappear.
Moving between the bright lights of casino floors and the dark waters of the Everglades, Braun and Lutz uncover connections that challenge everything they thought they understood. Every answer raises new questions. Every clue reveals another layer of a mystery buried deep within one of America's most mysterious landscapes.
What begins as a routine investigation soon becomes a race to uncover the truth before it vanishes beneath the surface forever.
THE GATOR TOOK THREE is a gripping thriller that blends modern technology, crime, suspense, and Everglades folklore into a story where the line between myth and reality grows thinner with every page.
Rich in atmosphere, packed with intrigue, and driven by unforgettable characters, this second Braun & Lutz investigation explores what happens when sophisticated systems meet ancient instincts, and when the most dangerous predators aren't always the ones lurking beneath the water.
Because in the swamp, systems fail. Predators adapt. And some secrets refuse to stay buried.

THE ORCHID WAR
The Orchid War: Some wars are fought with weapons. Others are fought with control.

A rare orchid. A coded message. A hidden system operating in plain sight.
When an elusive ghost orchid suddenly appears in circulation, it seems like little more than a botanical curiosity. But for investigators Angie Braun and Donnie Lutz, it becomes the first clue in a mystery that refuses to follow conventional rules.
The trail begins with a murdered orchid poacher deep in the Florida Everglades.
One body.
One cigar band.
And a series of coded patterns that suggest something much larger is unfolding beneath the surface.
As Braun and Lutz follow the evidence, they find themselves caught in a dangerous conflict involving ruthless orchid traffickers, a powerful Cuban cigar family with connections that reach far beyond Florida, and a technology-driven logistics operation capable of tracking, predicting, and influencing the movement of goods, resources, and people.
At first glance, these groups appear to be rivals competing for profit and power.
The truth is far more dangerous.
The deeper the investigation goes, the more Braun and Lutz discover that the orchids are merely the visible edge of a much larger design, one built around controlling scarcity itself. What begins as environmental crime soon expands into a complex web of influence where ecosystems, supply chains, markets, and human behavior can all be manipulated for strategic advantage.
Every clue reveals another layer.
Every answer exposes a larger question.
And every step brings them closer to a system that was never meant to be seen.
As the boundaries between nature, technology, commerce, and power begin to collapse, Braun and Lutz must uncover who is pulling the strings before the network grows beyond anyone's ability to stop it.
Set against the unique backdrop of the Florida Everglades and driven by timely questions about control, sustainability, and human ambition, THE ORCHID WAR is a sophisticated eco-tech thriller where crime, innovation, and environmental systems collide.
Combining mystery, suspense, technology, and real-world complexity, this third Braun & Lutz investigation explores how small signals can reveal enormous truths, and how the struggle for control often begins where few people are looking.
Because sometimes the most valuable thing in the world isn't what people are fighting over.
